Family Medicine
I’m a board-certified family medicine physician serving men, women, and children at My Practice in Irving, Texas. Born in Puerto Rico, I grew up interested in medicine and helping others. I looked up to my dad, Dr. Angel Luis López Ruiz, a well-established surgeon in Puerto Rico. At a young age, I realized that my vocation was to become a physician. My childhood brimmed with trips to the hospital where I would accompany and observe my dad at work. Since my early years, I’ve found the field of medicine riveting and I believe the experiences taught by my father built the framework and principles of methodical, empathetic, and efficient care. My primary goal is to enhance patient wellness overall. Fluent in both English and Spanish, I can effectively communicate with a diverse group of patients.

Family Medicine
Hi!! I am here to help with the treatment and consultation of common ailments, coughs, sore throats, rashes, infections and skin diseases that can be treated over virtual media. I am able to call in medications and antibiotics if needed to your local pharmacy for you to keep you from having to go in the office. I would be happy to give my professional medical opinion on other matters or help direct you to a provider or my office if needing further care or assistance with this matter. I also spend a lot of time reading on depression, anxiety and plant-based nutritional counseling to help promote weight loss, medication reduction/elimination, and disease eradication.  I will do my best to help you as much as I can!

OB/GYN
Hi – This is Dr. Carlson and welcome to my practice! I’m so glad you are here. Please let me tell you a little bit about myself. I believe communication is incredibly important to good health. Gynecology should be easy to understand, not something shrouded in secrecy. I welcome questions and want to help you understand your body. Please know that if I believe you need an exam, I will be honest and tell you. I practiced Medical Gynecology at Mayo Clinic in Florida from 2012 until 2016 and I have cared for thousands of women from all over the world. As a specialist there, I focused my practice on diagnosing problems and helping women avoid surgery if at all possible. While at Mayo, I also enjoyed sharing my knowledge with patients and with other doctors. Upon retiring from Mayo Clinic, I have continued to enjoy caring for women in my private practice, which is now entirely online. Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, I practiced high-risk obstetrics and gynecologic surgery in New England. I am Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
